Search Engine Optimisation and the power of backlinks

It has long been known that link backs are the key to ranking high on Google and ranking highly on Google means mega amounts of traffic and if you optimise correctly money.

Google’s algorithm has come a long way since it was first launched and the ranking system is now more complex than ever. You have to consider all kinds of factors before deciding on a solid link building campaign and a search engine optimisation strategy.

There are many things Google would like to see in a link pointing back to your page. Firstly they want to see that your site is earning links from pages with high authority, this means that the page has been around for a while and has already got backlinks pointing at it.

The second thing Google will want to see is that you are getting links from blogs that are related to your subject. In links from irrelevant sites can ring spam alarm bells and will pass little value to your site.

The third aspect of links building that will increase your rankings in the search engines is the anchor text you use to create them. Links that are anchored with your target keywordfocus is that links should be natural. A vote to your site should be an honest one, pointing there because of the usefulness of your content and not because you have paid for it. Remember this and create quality content and your rankings will soon rise.
